Yei County Inter-Church Committee or ICC women group on Thursday conducted an annual prayer for peace in South Sudan.
ICC Chairperson Mary Gboka Solomon said the prayer also aimed at bringing women together and uniting all churches in the County, Easter Radio reported.
She stressed women’s concern for peace as victims in wars because they were raped and killed innocently.
Christ the King Parish Priest Tom Poru Martin thanked the women for bringing the prayer to the church, saying it came at a right time of Lent season.
He called on both Christians and Muslims to pray tirelessly for God to give peace to the country.
The prayer brought together 300 people including Christians and Muslims from different churches and mosques in Yei County.
