Lakes State Workers Union committee chairman following up the rights of all government employees called upon all civil servants to be calm and continue working normally.

Arkangelo Kuot Lueth urged all the employees to avoid fuelling the process, but allow the committee to fight for their rights, Good News Radio reported.

This was after teachers took to street saying no allowances no teaching while other civil servants decided a sit down strike until their allowances were paid.

Mr Kuoth said they already wrote a letter to claim workers’ rights such that they get their money.

He requested all the workers in the state to receive their salaries while they continue to follow up with the issue of allowances.

Last month all Lakes State employees were at the point of striking claiming that the government embezzled their grants.
