Government spokesperson called on citizens in Juba particularly and South Sudan in general to remain calm and not panic after gunshots at Juba military barrack.
Michael Makuei Lueth told the press in Juba that the fighting at the Military barrack was an administrative issue over pay and has no connection to military coup, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said military communiqué is expected to issue details of the shooting.
Minister Makuei urged citizens to continue their normal duties.
The minister strongly warned some media houses against tarnishing the image of the government.
He said the government would not tolerate any media house that wants to be hostile.
Minister Makuei warned that media houses disturbing the government and misbehaving would face penalties.
