Yei River County Assistant Commissioner for Agriculture called on farmers to set their farms ready for the first season crop plantation.
Edmond Taban Gogo appealed to farmers to prepare enough land because the weather is predictable and it is expected to rain soon, Easter Radio reported.
He said they recommended Green Belt Seed Company to continue distributing seeds to farmers in the County.
Yei River County in Central Equatoria State lies in the green belt region where rain starts in March and runs throughout the year.
