Lakes State Members of Parliament on Monday seconded six ministers Governor Matur Chut Dhuol appointed last week without serious vetting.
The MPs for the first time approved the appointees without disagreement after Deputy Governor Santo Domic Chol presented them to the house, Good News Radio reported.
State Assembly Speaker Baipath Majuec told the press that MPs were happy because the Governor respected the State Transitional Constitution by presenting his new cabinet to the Parliament.
The six appointees include Marik Nanga Marik Information Minister, Jok Ayom Minister for Local Government, Dhieu Wal Takpiny Labour and Public Service Minister, Abraham Meen Kuch Minister for Physical Infrastructure.
Education minister Dut Makoi Kuok and Alphayo Adet Majuong Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Resources and Fisheries are among the new cabinet.
