122 Ghanaian battalion troops arrive in Juba

122 troops from the Ghanaian battalion on Wednesday arrived in Juba from the UN Mission in Cote d’Ivore.
 
United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS update said another 128 soldiers are expected to arrive on Friday.
 
The Mission said 250 troops would be deployed in the coming days to reinforce the Mongolian battalion in Bentiu to conduct patrols further away from the town.
 
It expected that Ghana battalion would be supplemented by additional troops in the coming months to reach 850 soldiers in South Sudan.
 
In another news development, the UN Mine Action Service deployed a contractor, the Development Initiative to Bor to assess UN premises and look for unexploded ordinances in villages.
