Western Bahr El Ghazal Traffic Police Director ordered drivers and motorists to process valid licences within 15 days and that violators would face charges.

John Bak Alfonse said his office planned to crackdown unlicensed cars and motorbikes, Voice of Hope reported.

He lamented that ‘rampant accidents’ in the state due to reckless driving and riding drew their attention over the past two months.

Mr Bak explained that the campaign would target private tinted cars which he said became common in Wau and other towns.

He warned that any private car found tinted without an authorization from the traffic administration should be confiscated.

The Director pointed out that only permitted official cars were allowed to be tinted.

Mr Bak urged all riders and drivers to follow traffic regulations to avoid accidents.
