Yei River County Agriculture Assistant Commissioner on Wednesday called on state and national governments to provide tools and seeds to be distributed to farmers ahead of the rainy season to boost productivity.
Edmond Taban Gogo also called for support to the community based extension workers who took nine years coaching farmers without pay, Easter Radio reported.
He added that farmers should be trained to improve their productivity.
Mr Taban encouraged farmers to continue farming despite the ongoing crisis in other parts of the country.
