Foreign Minister said the government was studying the United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS human rights’ violations report on conflict in the country.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Barnaba Marial Benjamin said lawyers were studying the report and would respond through the legal process.

He said President Salva Kiir Mayardit earlier  formed investigations committee to hold human right violators accountable.

The minister said the remaining four detainee’s investigation was still on progress and that judges would release the report once they complete their work.

UNMISS presented its interim report on human rights abuses committed during the first six weeks of South Sudan crisis to the Security Council.

More comprehensive public report on the abuses is expected to be issued in April.
