Political Parties’ Youth Forum on Thursday urged the Government and SPLM/A in opposition to compromise and speedily conclude the peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Forum chairperson Agel Ring Machar told journalists in Juba that youths need quick peaceful resolution of the conflict to realize lasting peace in the country.

He urged the youths to unite, forgive one another and reconcile to face the political turmoil in South Sudan.

Mr Ring condemned war and destruction especially the recent violation of Cessation of Hostilities Agreement in Malakal of Upper Nile State.

He vowed that the youths would not allow the destruction of the future generation.

The Youth Forum hoped for peaceful transition of power from elders to youths.

The chairperson said the youths had no intention to revolt against elders.

Mr Ring added that cooperation between youths and elders was paramount as there is no country in the world where elders exist without youths.

The Forum plans to establish and promote a culture of peace, reconciliation, patriotism and combat rampant youth unemployment in the country.
