Plan International Gender Child Protection Advisor said child involvement in the army creates more conflicts both internally and externally.
Angelina Alal Habib said some children joined the army to sustain life because others lost both parents and nobody cares and supports them.
She said it was better for children to continue with education because they would achieve their future dreams.
Ms Alal lamented that involving children in the army was not good to the nation, community and families.
She cited an example of children who were returned from the Lord Resistant Army being disturbed and harmful to families and communities.
The Advisor said unless they were kept in different centre, counselled for a long time and given vocational training to earn money, they would not change.
She said the government was responsibility to disarm children and reintegrate them in their societies.
