Yei Commissioner bans pastoralists crossing to Congo

Yei River County Commissioner issued an ultimatum directing all South Sudan pastoralists not to cross to Congo and those already there to return witthin three days.
 
Juma David Augustine told cattle keepers during a meeting at Tore Payam not to trigger conflict with DR Congo because of cattle, Easter Radio reported.
 
He said it was high time for pastoralists to return home and participate in the national reconstruction.
 
Commissioner Juma warned that the government would confiscate any cow remaining there.
 
There are currently six cattle camps from Jonglei state based in Tore Payam of Yei County.
