Yei River County in Central Equatoria state is expected to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 in Otogo payam.
The Association Chairlady Sarah Nathalino said the County has rotation of the celebration so that women are enlightened, Easter Radio reported.
She said women needed more awareness to ensure that they are protected and not left behind and cheated on their rights due to ignorance.
The chairlady spoke on Wednesday after a preparatory meeting for the International Women Day celebration in Yei.
