Vice President visits Kajo-Keji ahead of President Kiir

The Vice President of the Republic paid a three-day visit to Kajo-Keji County of Central Equatoria State for the first time since appointment.
 
James Wani Igga was received by a large crowd including school children, welcoming him to Kajo-Keji Freedom Square at Mere Boma, chanting what SPLM can do to address medical challenges in the county.
 
He told the residents that he conveyed greetings from President Kiir Mayardit who was planning to visit the County in the near future.
 
Mr Wani explained that he was like John the Baptist, preparing the way for the Messiah to come.
 
The Vice President recognized the role citizens in Kajo-Keji County played and congratulated them for the attainment of the independence.
 
Mr Wani said it was very important as government to visit its people at least every three months, but transport network still poses a big challenge.
 
Central Equatoria State Deputy Governor Manasseh Lomole Waya said the County was lucky to have a son of the state as the Vice President of the Republic.
 
He hailed residents for being peace lovers, possessed with the spirit of love and reconciliation.
 
Mr Lomole challenged Kajo-Keji County for criticizing and changing Commissioners from time to time.
