Himango Vocational Centre in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Monday opened to train people on carpentry, tailoring, building and auto mechanics.
Centre Manager Hareson Waweru said the course was practical for every interested people, Don Bosco Radio reported.
Mr Waweru explained that studying for a certificate takes one year and one and half years for a diploma.
He said the first students will graduate in August.
The Manager said the training would help youths to become carpenters, engineers and teachers in Warrap State.
He added that they introduced a tailoring and cookery class for girls and women.
The manager said peace and prayer was number one to promote development in the county.
Mr Waweru urged parents and guardians to allow their children to go to school and vocational training centre.
