About one hundred women from all states who gathered in Juba for a two-day workshop organized by South Sudanese Women Leaders for Peace, expressed deep concerned of the persistent insecurity and the continuing human rights violations in the country.
Nyachuat Lam Deng from Upper Nile said crimes committed against women included torture and rapes in the state.
Ms Lam lamented that during the mid December conflict women and children were the most vulnerable people who faced many threats.
She called on the South Sudanese Women Leaders for Peace to increase messages of peace and rescue the situation as soon as possible.
Angelina Agot from Jonglei State appealed to women across the world to help their fellow South Sudanese women.
She said if South Sudanese women face difficulties and abuses other women around the globe feel the pain.
Ms Agot said South Sudanese women face the same violence and other abuses for many years.
