Tombura-Yambio Crisis Committee distributes non-food items

Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocesan Crisis Management Committee distributed non-food items to the displaced persons in Yambio, Western Equatoria state.
 
Diocesan Deputy Chairperson Peter Saru Paul said they distribute blankets, mosquito nets, mats and bathing soaps, Anisa Radio reported.
 
He added that the diocese sympathized with the people who escaped the political unrest and camped in Western Equatoria state.
 
State Child and Social Development Acting Director General Justin Ebere praised the Catholic and other Churches for supporting the needy showing their unity, love and good faith.
 
He revealed a plan to soon organize a thanksgiving event to appreciate all who extended helping hands to the IDPs.
 
Two of the 64 women IDPs who camped in Yambio gave birth to baby boys.
 
This was the third time Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese distributed food and non-food items to IDPs in the state.
