Legislature refers supplementary budget to joint Economy Cluster

The National Legislature comprising Council of States and National Legislative Assembly on Tuesday referred the 2013/2014 supplementary budget and its appropriation bill to joint Clusters of Resources, Service and Economy for scrutiny.
 
Speaker Manasseh Magok Rundial said the clusters chaired by Professor Paul Logale Jumi should present their report to the August House on Monday.
 
Finance Minister Aggrey Tisa Sabuni who presented the budget said it was proposed that reallocation was made in two ways: 500 million South Sudanese Pounds to the army and 249 million Pounds for humanitarian needs contingency funds.
 
The supplementary budget to the tune of 43 million South Sudanese was deducted from operation and development Funds from ministries of Health, Education, Agriculture, Land and Transport, Roads and Bridges.
 
The legislature will on Monday determine the fate of basic services delivery to citizens as they deliberate on the supplementary budget.
