Yei-Lasu Road Rehabilitation Monitoring Committee called for recruitment of local work force for future maintenance of the road after the end of the project.
The Committee’s Secretary Joseph Ramba during a preparatory meeting on Monday called on contractors to engage local youths in the project, Easter Radio reported.
Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine said they were committed to ensure that the local youths take part in the project implementation.
Yei-Lasu road links South Sudan to the Democratic Republic of Congo and is expected to boost economic viabilities of the two countries when complemented.
