Editor advises journalists to take audience risk

A senior journalist advised fellow media practitioners to take their own risk of getting news to listeners, viewers and readers in time of conflict.
 
Juba Monitor Newspaper Editor Alfred Taban on Friday advised journalists to report accurately and give enough background to their stories.
 
He said the studios were good protection places where journalists broadcast safely.
 
Mr Taban called on the government to allow journalists to gather information because freedom of expression is enshrined in the Transitional Constitution.
 
Juba Monitor Newspaper Editor made the statement after Conflict Sensitive Journalism training on Friday in Juba, organized by Internews.
