The Acting Secretary General for Social Welfare in the national Ministry of Gender called for education opportunities to people with disabilities.
Cosmas Abu Abdu said persons with disabilities need opportunities to go to school, employment chances and involvement in decision making.
He lamented that other people developed bad attitude towards persons with disabilities.
Mr Abdu announced that they have services centers for persons with disabilities in Juba.
The Acting Secretary lamented that persons with disabilities were marginalized from many activities in all South Sudan’s societies.
He criticized people from giving bad names to persons with disabilities according to their conditions including blind or lame persons.
Mr Abdu said if people with disabilities were educated, they would participate in national development.
