Bishop returns home from peace talks

Church Leaders Mediation Initiative Chairperson returned to the country on Sunday after South Sudan Democratic Movement/Defence Army or SSDA, Cobra Faction of David Yau Yau and the government signed Cessation of Hostilities Agreement in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 
Torit Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban said Yau Yau was pardoned and should come home because he did not go for himself or the Murle people, but other communities facing difficulties in Jonglei State, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He explained that there would be a joint military body comprising government, Cobra Faction and the UN peacekeeping force to monitor the implementation.
 
Bishop Taban said the government delegation had seven members while Yau Yau had eleven members in the peace talks.
