Tonj South Forestry and Agriculture Director in Warrap State on Monday said two people only got licenses for cutting timbers.

Dominic Mangong said the licensed people were instructed to cut only two Mahogany trees, Don Bosco Radio reported.

He said two days were left for registration period to finish and late comers would be stopped from cutting bamboos and timbers.

Mr Mangong called on people burning charcoal, cutting bamboos and short poles to cut old trees.

He warned that the government will confiscate machines of those cutting trees without licenses.

Mr Mangong urged charcoal makers, bamboos and short poles cutters to get their licenses before the deadline on Thursday.
