The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio condemned injustice and false peace.

Bishop Edwardo Hiiboro in his homily on Sunday in Yambio said false peace was not good in the country, Anisa Radio reported.

He added that false peace means the majority do not respect the minority, exploit, dominate economically and socially and injustice becomes the order of the day.

Bishop Hiiboro clarified that peace was the serenity where everyone fully respect human rights and speak the truth.

The Catholic prelate said God does want a leader who fears to speak the truth or humiliate others.

He made the statement on Sunday while launching the 21 days of prayers and fasting for peace in South Sudan.

The 21 days of prayers will take place in all parishes of Tombura-Yambio Diocese and every Friday there would be fasting and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
