Churches pray for peace, harmony

South Sudan Council of Churches chairperson asked God to grant peace to the country after the mid December crisis that claimed many lives. 
 
Bishop Michael Taban Toro said God’s people should stay in peace and harmony.
 
He made the call on Saturday during the national prayers for peace in Juba.
 
Bishop Taban rebuked the spirit of revenge in the country.
 
He urged the conflicting political sides to leave evil acts and do well.
 
Bishop Michael appealed to the parties to seek peace and justice.
 
In his homily, Bishop Isaac Dau said the country could be at peace if the warring parties were willing.
 
He urged the parties to cease from doing evil.
 
The peace prayer attracted many Christians, politicians, legislators and Kenyan pastors.
