Calm returns to UBG after tension among students

University of Bahr El Ghazal or UBG situation returned to normal after tension resulting from quarrels between two students.
 
One student on Monday evening hit his colleague for unknown reason and the issue took a tribal dimension which drew security attention in the state, Voice of Hope reported.
 
UBG Vice Chancellor Timothy Tilar Ring called for calm as the fight was a misunderstanding between individuals.
 
He warned that anyone trying to create instability in the University would be expelled.
 
WBG Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan said the University would not be closed because of individuals’ issues.
 
He said people who are not ready to continue should quit the University rather than causing chaos.
 
The Governor said the state was committed to protect all citizens of South Sudan.
 
UNMISS State Coordinator Winny Babihuga warned students against seeking refuge in UN compound on issues of less threat.
 
University of Bahr El Ghazal students are expected to start their first semester exams on January 18.
