Tonj South County Commissioner in Warrap State on Thursday met with all cattle keepers for a peace dialogue.

William Wol Mayom urged all cattle keepers to stay in peace, not to raid one another and fight, Don Bosco Radio reported.

The head of cattle keepers in Manyangok Payam Mayen Lual attributed fighting among communities to cows and girls’ impregnation.

He said they agreed to have peace dialogue and not to kill themselves because of cattle raiding and girls’ pregnancy.

Mr Lual added that they agreed to report impregnation cases to police for legal procedures rather than relatives of the impregnated girls resolving them.

He urged all cattle keepers to work for peace to develop the country.

Police Operation Brigadier General Mathew Mathiang said they got a report of goats’ raid on Wednesday.

He advised the entire cattle keepers to care for their domestic animals.
