UN allocated 15 million US Dollars for emergency humanitarian rapid response in South Sudan.
UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Hervé Ladsous told reporters in New York on Thursday that their goal was to quickly rescue the situation, UN Digest reported.
He appreciated countries that are helping UN transport the equipment and peacekeepers to South Sudan.
Mr Ladsous said the force was near to 14 thousand including utility and tactical helicopters that would be on the ground within three weeks.
He lamented that human rights violation remains terribly critical.
The Undersecretary said UN focuses on protection of civilians, human rights and helping humanitarian colleagues to access the affected population.
