Yei River County Commissioner urged South Sudanese to denounce war and advocate for peace in the country.
Juma David Augustine said South Sudanese voted for separation in order to achieve the right to self-determination, but not to destroy the country and scare investors, Easter Radio reported.
He discouraged wrong and exaggerated information of some citizens that cause panic.
The Commissioner urged foreigners and citizens to be in contact with their community leaders.
He said the government would continue to cooperate with community leaders to assist people.
The security situation in Yei returned normal after the Commissioner on Tuesday announced that government was in full control of the county.
