South Sudan Civil Society Alliance on Wednesday called for peaceful resolution of the current political crisis in the country.

Alliance chairperson Athuai Mawiir said the way politicians manage this crisis in the country wounded civil society organizations.

Mr Mawiir called on the warring parties to cease hostilities as soon as possible to save lives.

He called on the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development to pressurize the parties to speed up negotiations and reach peace.

Mr Mawiir said their organization called for accountability and justice on human rights violations committed by both parties.
