SPLA-N Commander in Timbere of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains urged all the civilians who ran away due to clashes between Sudan Armed Forces or SAF and SPLA-N to return home.
First Lieutenant Odike Idriss Kanadi told citizens that SPLA-N forces repulsed attackers on Sunday and were in full control of the area, Voice of Peace reported.
He said SAF burned 83 houses and scores of sorghum in farmlands.
First Lieutenant Idriss called on communities in other parts of Heiban County to visit and help Timbere residents.
Clashes in Timbere lasted for several hours and enemies fled into Tusi after SPLA-N got reinforcement.
