At least 2,705 pupils started their primary eight exams on Monday in Lakes State.

State Education Director-General Kongor Deng Kongor told Good News Radio that the number of pupils this year was less than that of last year.

He said the number of boys was four times that of girls.

Mr Deng said the exams were taking place in all eight counties as planned.

He cautioned invigilators against malpractices.

This is the third state primary exams after the independence.
