Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop called for peace and hard work in 2014.

Presiding over New Year’s Eucharistic celebration on Wednesday Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala told the faithful that all must work hard, care for the poor and become peacemakers, Anisa Radio reported.

He added that it was the mandate of all Christians and citizens of South Sudan to ensure that all people live in harmony.

Bishop Hiiboro urged Christian groups in the church to preach peace and care for those spiritually and physically sick.

He urged the 373 new members of Legion of Mary to support the needy.

The Catholic prelate urged the Legion of Mary to imitate the life of Mary mother of Jesus who came to people through her respect, hard work, prayers and good life.

Bishop Hiiboro appreciated Western Equatoria citizens for being conscious of peace and celebrating Christmas and the New Year peacefully.
