Workers at Southern Sudan Television (SSTV) suspended work today and are staging a sit in protesting for unpaid arrears.
A SSTV staff told SCR News over the telephone that workers are in the station but will refuse to work.Our source added that the SSTV staff are staging a sit in to demand from the government the housing allowances for the whole of 2009.
In June of last years, GoSS passed a resolution providing housing allowances for government staff with effect from January 2009.
Our source said so far SSTV workers did not get any allowance money.
