Members of Eastern Equatoria State legislative Assembly yesterday took the oath of allegiance to serve the August House for a period of five years and elected the speaker and his deputy.
The 44 members of parliament who were elected in April include two independent and one from National Congress Party, Emmanuel Radio reported.The other 41 represent the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM).
Emmanuel Ocholimoi and Paul Napwon were elected and sworn in as the speaker and deputy speaker respectively.
