Education experts warned parents against buying toy guns to children because they are items that have negative impact on children’s behaviours.
Little Angle Primary School teacher Paul Okech said buying toy guns to children and exposing them to acrobatic games would only build violent behaviour which might be destructive to their future, Voice of Hope reported.
He said South Sudan experienced along civil war before independence and that it was time to build good behaviours among children.
Mr Okech explained that toy guns encourage violence and spirit of war and affect educational system in South Sudan.
The expert advised parents to build children’s intellectual ability rather than encouraging violence.
Education Director General in Western Bahr El Ghazal State Abdalla Ali Abdalla said the current situation needs parents to put efforts in moulding their children’s behaviour considering modern technologies.
He said children were more exposed to dangerous technologies which need much parental guidance.
