Yei Catholic Bishop thanks government for protecting citizens

Yei Catholic Bishop thanked the national, state governments and County authorities for protecting citizens’ lives.
 
Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe said since December 15 the government was working hard to take care of people’s lives, Easter Radio reported.
 
He said it was the duty of the government to protect lives of its citizens in any situation.
 
Bishop Lodu called South Sudanese to pray for their leaders, listen and put into practice their leaders’ peace messages.
 
He appealed for cooperation between citizens and the government.
 
Bishop Lodu clarified that the conflict was a bitter disagreement between SPLM members over power not tribal issue.
 
He appealed to the Dinka and Nuer leaders and youths not to be confused that the issue was tribal.
 
Bishop Lodu asked the government to stop fighting, resolve indifferences through dialogue and continue with nation building.
 
The Bishop made the remarks during in his homily on the Christmas Day at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
