Yei Mayoress reported high influx of people into the town from Juba, other parts of the country and East Africa to celebrate Christmas.
Oba Cecilia Tito urged the population to remain in peace and treat all people equal, Easter Radio reported.
She called on visitors to avoid causing problems in Yei during the Christmas and New Year season.
Mayoress Oba appealed to youths not to consume drugs including marungi, opium and alcohols to cause chaos during Christmas and New Year festive.
The Mayoress made the statement while giving Christmas massage in Yei River Municipality on Monday.
