Torit Catholic Diocese former Vicar General called for dialogue among political leaders in the Country.
 
Fr Joseph Ukelo termed the political conflict in South Sudan as evil, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
He urged religious leaders to engage top South Sudan politicians to resolve their differences through dialogue.
 
Fr Ukelo called on citizens to support the government to bring peace and justice.
 
The former Vicar advised all citizens to be peace lovers.
 
He urged the organized forces and civilians not to shoot guns during the Christmas season because gun-shots bring insecurity.
 
Fr Ukelo consoled people that Jesus comes tonight as liberator to redeem the people.
 
He expressed sadness over the events in Juba, saying Jesus talks of peace yet the country experiences war.
 
Fr Ukelo appreciated citizens and the government of Eastern Equatoria for maintaining peace in the state.
 
Religious leaders in Eastern Equatoria on Friday held a meeting with the governor and agreed to support peace efforts.
