The estimated number of people displaced by the current crisis in South Sudan rose to 81 thousand.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs OCHA said the number was likely to be higher given the limited access to civilians outside population centres.

The Office said over 2,200 families sheltering in UNMISS bases in Juba received food on Sunday and Monday.

It added that priorities for the response to the displaced are food, healthcare, shelter, water, sanitation and health services.
