Fresh fighting displaces 3,000 civilians in South Kordofan

New fighting between SPLM-N and the Government troops in and around Kadugli of South Kordofan displaced three thousands people.
 
The SPLM-N spokesperson Arnu Ngatulu Lodi told Voice of Peace in an email on Thursday that more than 2,000 people were displaced in Jigeba, Torlet and Kuldang villages.
 
He said another 1,400 people fled Kanga and Lima villages sheltered in mountain caves.
 
Mr Ngatulu added that SAF aerial bombardments killed two civilians and injured eight others in the rebel-held areas.
 
He said government MIG jet fighter and Sudanese army artillery unit attacked Katcha and Farw areas South of Kadugli and Korongo in the west.
 
The spokesperson said on Wednesday morning Katcha and Farwa areas were hit by nine missiles from Kadugli and seriously damaged Katcha Health Centre.
 
Mr Ngattulu warned that SPLA-N will continue targeting military bases inside Kadugli town.
 
He advised civilians to stay away from army bases.
