Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop commissioned children of Christ the King trained to be ambassadors of peace to visit all homes in Yambio.

Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kusalla on Wednesday blessed the gadgets to be used by the ambassadors of peace in Yambio, Anisa Radio reported.

Tombura-Yambio Diocese Children Welfare officer Margaret Nako Dukpurokari said the commissioned children will move from house to house in all the residential areas of Yambio County.

She added that there are ten groups of 12 members tasked to carry out the message of peace to all families from four to half past five in the evening continuously.

Ms Nako said the children will dress in green and yellow apron putting on a royal hat.

She added that each group will carry a bible, holy rosary, a stick holding a symbol of the star that guided the three wise men to see Jesus in Bethlehem.

Ms Nako said whenever the children arrive in front of a home, they will knock on the door, sing Hosanna, preach the word of God and then write on the door post 20*C+M+B+14 meaning Christ blesses this home.

She appealed to people to welcome the children to their homes.

Ms Nako said anybody having problems in the family was allowed to invite these children to pray in his or her house.

She advised all children to obey their parents and love the church.
