SOUTH SUDAN RECRUITS MORE WOMEN TEACHERS

GoSS ministry of Education increased the recruitment of women to teach in schools across the region in a bid to improve education standards.

The minister in charge of education told the media that reports and statistics from all ten southern states show the ministry this year recruited and deployed more female teachers than in the previous years.

Sudan Tribune website reported that 124 professional female teachers are teaching in schools across the region after a recent recruitment and deployment exercise.

The ministry increased the number of women teachers to improve education standards.

Officials said that pupils taught by women teachers perform better than those who have male teachers.
