African Union or AU Commission Chairperson expressed deep concern bout the safety and security of the civilian population in Juba.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma urged the Government and leadership of South Sudan and all other stakeholders to exercise maximum restraint and avert any further escalation.
She urged the parties to resolve their differences through peaceful means, with respect for the rule of law, human rights and constitutional legality.
Dr Dlamini-Zuma expressed AU’s readiness to assist in finding a solution to the current situation.
