Yei civil society calls for calm

Yei Civil Society Organization Forum on Tuesday called for calm and refraining from tribal military division, unconstructive political wrangles and army involvement in politics.
 
The Forum Secretary-General Dara Felix David recalled South Sudanese pursuit for peace, freedom and stability that cost nearly 2.5 million people in 21 years.
 
Mr Felix who is also a Human Rights Defender called on citizens to exercise personal security vigilance to avoid robbers and thieves breaking people’s doors.
 
He appealed to the national government to ensure that perpetrators are brought to books for violating fundamental rights and fraction of law.
 
Mr Felix also urged the government to have unified and independent army to protect citizens and the integrity of South Sudan.
 
Mr Felix urged all political parties to encourage the culture of continuous inclusive political dialogue to iron out differences.
