ACROSS on Saturday concluded a 14-day training for the second batch of 41 primary teachers of Yei, Lainya and Morobo Counties.

The training was on inclusive education for children with disability, Easter Radio reported.

Inclusive Education and Community-based Rehabilitation Manager Simon Lagu called on parents to educate their children with disabilities.

He said if children with disabilities were not educated they would become beggars and burden in communities.

Mr Lagu called on citizens to cooperate with Inclusive Education Program to reduce abuse of people with disabilities.

Yei County Education Field Officer Athanasio Mawa Martin said there was need to sensitize local authorities and monitor sensitization outcome.

He said ACROSS needed to share the burden with the government to accomplish the mission.

ACROSS already trained 71 primary teachers in 24 schools in Yei, Lainya and Morobo Counties.
