Union promises teachers’ allowances in 2014

The Teachers’ Professional Union team leader to Western Equatoria on Thursday revealed that all teachers will start receiving their allowances in January 2014.
 
Daniel Wani Lugga said the aim of forming the Union in the country with its branches in every state was to make teachers’ voices heard, Anisa radio reported.
 
State Education Minister Pia Philip Michael appreciated the Teachers Union and said the government was very keen on education.
 
He stressed the need of putting more money in education to improve its quality in the country.
 
He added that Union was very important to advocate for teachers problems.
 
Many teachers in Yambio met on Thursday to form the Union’s branch in Western Equatoria State.
