GIZ Country Program Director on Wednesday visited Yambio County, Western Equatoria to assess its projects.
She said GIZ is carrying a Urban water development project in Yambio, Western Equatoria State, Anisa Radio reported.
The Director expressed her gratitude for finding that Yambio community was well informed about the project.
Western Equatoria State GIZ Project Coordinator Winston Maluka announced that the water project was in its last stage.
He added that they already built two water kiosks in Bakindo and Naagori areas of Yambio town.
Mr Maluka said price of water shall be one Pound per five jarricans and that there a lorry was ready to supply water to the people’s homes.
Yambio County Executive Director Daniel Mathew Waure applauded GIZ for the good work it is doing.
He added that the project is owned by Yambio County and GIZ only supports financially and technically.
Yambio County Commissioner Kuzee John Elia welcomed the team to Yambio and applauded good working relations between the County and GIZ.
The Commissioner appealed to GIZ to open more water supplies in Yambio to feed the huge population in Yambio town.
