Government to appoint Pensions Fund Board of Trustees

The national government planned to appoint Board of Trustees for the National Pension Fund.
 
This was disclosed by the Public Service and Human Resource Development Undersecretary Angeth Akol de Dut on Tuesday.
 
She said the Board would comprise of seven members of high moral integrity appointed by the President to oversee a Civil Servants Pension Scheme.
 
Ms Akol added that the government would contribute 11 percent and the employee five percent to make 16 percent of each employee’s pension.
 
The Undersecretary said a circular was issued to ministries to lower contribution rates from 25 to 16 percent from employee’s gross salary.
 
She said the Sudanese government owes South Sudan three billion Pounds in pension contributions from South Sudanese civil servants.
