GOSS AND US GOVERNMENT CELEBRATE PARTNERSHIP WITH NEW AGRICULTURE PROGRAMME

Officials from the governments of Southern Sudan and United States sign today the Food, Agribusiness, and Rural Markets (FARM) program.

The FARM programme will take five years to implement at a cost of 55 million US dollars.

It will provide technical assistance to the GOSS Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, as well as state-level Ministries of Agriculture.

The FARM program is designed to boost production by South Sudan farmers improving the capacity of private and public sectors and develop commercial smallholder agriculture.

The FARM program will focus on the three states of Western, Central, and Eastern Equatoria.
